De website van de Twaalfvoetsjollenclub kan op dit moment niet ververst worden. De oorzaak: De computer van onze webmaster Jan Sonnenberg is gecrashed. Jan en ik hebben afgesproken dat deze blog als tijdelijke vervanging dienst gaat doen. Daarom in de stijl van Jan, bovenstaande titel. In totaal zijn vier wedstrijden op het Pikmeer en de wijde EE bij Grou verzeild. Met een windkracht van beaufort 3 was het mooi zeilweer. Behalve dan de zondagochtend toen het wel erg hard regende. Zestien 12voetsjol zeilers hadden ingeschreven voor de zogenaamde Merke wedstrijden. In Grou is er markt en kermis en dan is het al 153 jaar de gewoonte dat er dan ook zeilwedstrijden worden georganiseerd. In 1860 gebeurde dat nog niet met 12voetsjollen. Maar in 2013 is de 12voetsjollenklasse uitgegroeid tot de grootste klasse. Ook dit jaar weer nieuwe gezichten met jol 872 van Tromp. Een oranje geverfde jol, in Turkije gebouwd door de jachtwerf 12footsailing.

Winner friendship series

The winner of the friendship series is...Reinhard Schröder.


The Dutch champion Wim Bleeker finished as number 2. He was number 1 at the Kaag and West Kirby. But in Laboe he was not in a good shape. Number 3 Willem de Boer and number 4 Duuk Dudok van Heel. See the complete list of the friendship series. Reinhard Schröder was the only sailor who participated in all the four friendship regatta's, organised in France, Netherlands, England and Germany. Totally 72 dinghies are on the list, from 9 different countries. The 12footCWC organisation is very satisfied about the results in the first year. There are thoughts about the 2014 edition. In a few weeks everything will be more clear. The friendship series is just mentioned for the real classic wooden dinghies with the same philosophy and speed. The French class organisation dinghy 12 Classe France will decide where the main event will be organised, probably somewhere in july or august.

The price winners: Marcel Bleeker (Youngest dinghy sailor 17), Willem de Boer (oldest dinghy sailor 72), Sjouke Dijkstra(owner oldest dinghy 558 name Tecumseh built in 1945).

At day 1, three races are sailed. At day 2 the wind was beaufort 6 from the East. No races for the dinghies, but four teams has had a nice touring event from Laboe to Kiel at the end of the Kieler Förde. Pictures of this touring event:

Laboe day 1

The German Reinhard Schroeder has beaten all the dutch. At least at day 1. With a 1, 2 and 2. Marcel Bleeker (657) capsized. Perfect sailing weather. At the moment a party.

Friendship series Kiel Laboe

The friendship series is mentioned for wooden classic dinghies in the dutch style. Till now 66 dinghies have participated during the events in France, England and the Netherlands. The last Friendship regattas will be organised 22 - 25 august in Germany. Wim Bleeker was the winner of the Kaag and West Kirby event. Wim is also the Dutch champion 2013 and will will visit Kiel Laboe. He has a good opportunity to become the first winner of the Friendship series too. At Laboe 170 classic wooden boats will take part. From the big 12 meters with a lenght of 21,33 meter till the little 12footdinghies with a lenght of 3,66 m. The dinghy groupe of 14 boats with sailors from Germany and the Netherlands will start in gruppe 15. It is a goal to show the other lovers of the big yachts that small is also beautiful. Everybody who want can have a look what a wonderful boat a dinghy is. Also sailing in a dinghy is possible. The organisation is glad that a boat with a history of 100 years take part in the German Classics 2013 for the first time.

78e Sneekweek

The biggest sailing event on a lake. More then 800 sailing boats. Famous wooden classes as the Lark, Pampus, Regenboog, 16m2, 30m2 and of course the 12footdinghy. In Dutch 12voetsjol. 25 this year. The first day saturday beaufort 7. Just 7 dinghies survived. The  second sunday was perfect sailing weather. Till thursday more news on www.sneekweek.nl  also a lot of pictures.

Dutch champion 2013....

Wim (48) and his son Marcel Bleeker (17) Dutch champion 2013. In the seven and last race there were only two candidates for the title. Wim/Marcel Bleeker and Martijn/Bob van der Pol. Wim decided to go alone in the last race. It was beaufort 4 and he had to work very hard to beat Martijn and Bob. But finally he was successful and for the first time in his live Dutch champion.

Walter Bleeker (54) at the right side on the picture is also thinking to buy a dinghy and participate at the dutch championship 2014.

Dutch championship 8

One race to go. 6 valid races behind us. Reinhard schroeder has sailed a 1 again and has a good chance. But he has a protest against him from joep brinkmann. Martijn van der pol, reinhard schroeder and wim bleeker has the best cards. But....stil everything is possible. Picture jeroende groot and bob heineke

Dutch Championship 7

4 races sailed now. Gold groupe results race 4, see picture. Total results not known yet. Sunday 3 races. After sunday there will be a new champion. Reinhard Schroeder has sailed very constant. But also bob heineke, martijn van der pol, wim bleeker, pieter bleeker, joep brinkmann, duuk van heel en jeroen de groot can become the new champion. Read it tomorrow in 12footnews
